At Rira Care, we’re more than just a service; we’re a community committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our team is made up of activists, refugees, social science specialists who understand the complexities of identity, resilience, and support.
Why we're different
We were founded by support workers who left large workplaces to begin a company that ensures clients are treated as human beings, not just numbers.
We believe in putting people over profit. Our staff are paid top award rates, our founders paid a fixed salary, and the rest invested into our participants. We aim to support financially however possible, whether this be providing high-quality transport, covering expenses or gifting items of need.
We are a new company that has grown almost exclusively through word of mouth – our participants have been happy with the care provided, and they’ve brought friends with them to benefit too.
Our staff are made up of refugees, activists, LGBTQI+ and people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are passionate about equality. We also speak over 10 different languages depending on your needs – from Farsi, to Spanish, to Serbian.
